Join fellow teachers, art historians, professional and avocational archaeologists, students and anyone with an interest in
discovering more about the past! The Litchfield Hills Archaeology Club offers a setting for exchange of ideas,
lectures and activities covering a wide range of archaeology-related topics and opportunities to participate in local trips.
The Club is held every Sunday during the late Spring and Summer at a local archaeology site. During the off-season,
the Club sponsors archaeology lectures the second Sunday of every month at 3:00 PM at the Institute for American
Indian Studies museum building (with the exception of January - March).
For information please contact Dr. Lucianne Lavin at llavin.iais@charter.net or call (860) 868-0518. Visit the
Institute's web site at www.iaismuseum.org/ for the list of upcoming lectures.
The public is welcome. Annual membership is $35 per person and $50 for a family, and includes free admission to
lectures and an invitation to join or annual summer dig. For non-members there is a $5 fee per lecture.
